Is Shea Butter Good For Your Skin?

Shea butter is a plant butter from the African shea tree. All of Backyard Bees soaps are plant based. We don’t use animal fats to make our handmade soaps.

Each soap has its own unique recipe and our Green Tea and Turmeric Bar recipe is no exception. Shea butter has lots of benefits for your skin and you will not be disappointed by this bar.

This bar includes shea butter, plus mango butter and cocoa butter. We thought of bee-ing punny and calling it “Butter Up!” but we changed our mind.

We use it in a lot of our recipes. Our Lavender Goats Milk bar is another moisturizing soap that has a significant amount of shea butter.

Green Tea and Turmeric soap is perfectly wonderful for men or women. But we did make it with men in mind.

The essential oil scent profile is a on the spicy, as opposed to floral, side of things. Women love it too. It is very rich.

Women like to tap into the powers of turmeric to lighten the skin. But men prefer to tap into turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties.

Green Tea and Turmeric bars are reported to help control acne and minor breakouts. Zesty is a juniper berry bar which is also helpful for combination skin and breakouts.
