A natural olive oil soap is an excellent cleansing bar soap for all skin types. Olive oil is high in oleic acid and polyphenols which have anti-aging properties.

Olive oil is one the best oils for the skin, particularly the face. It replenishes facial oils that decrease with age and can help to minimize wrinkles and age spots. 

Our Backyard Bees bar has a gentle lather that leaves your skin soft and moisturized.

There are other benefits to using olive oil soap. It doesn’t irritate your skin, nor does it clog your pores. It is so mild that some use it as a natural makeup remover.

Olive Oil Soaps Get Better With Age

The ingredient list is really simple. Yet, like all our handmade soaps, the bars need to cure for at least 6 weeks.

Olive oil bars, like this one, benefit from longer cure times. These bars were made at least six months ago; they only get better with age!

Why Use Fresh Rosemary in This Soap?

Fresh rosemary has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce redness and puffiness. It also can fight bacteria and mild outbreaks of acne.

Fresh organic rosemary from the Backyard Bees garden is infused into our extra virgin olive oil before we make these bars.

Wild Rose and Honey bars are also high in olive oil. They also include rosehip seed oil, which is excellent for the face. The Heirloom is another handmade olive oil soap that is aged for a year.

Cleopatra Bars are olive oil goat milk soap bars and also loved by those with skin sensitivities. The percentage of olive oil in these bars is not as high, but it is still an excellent choice.
